Does my partner need an account? +
No. You can use Namore fully anonymously: open the app, share a 6-letter code, and your partner is in. Apple Sign In and Google Sign In are there if you want your session synced across phones, but neither is required. Namore is available on the App Store and Google Play.
If only one of us pays, what does the other get? +
One purchase unlocks Unlimited for both phones in your active session, with no subscription or renewal. The buyer can use Unlimited across future sessions; the partner shares it while you use the same session. Your store shows the localized price before purchase. See the Terms for availability details.
What's the free version? +
100 swipes a day, basic filters, the core matching, your first For You set, three added names a day, card themes and one match-card theme. Plenty to find out whether Namore feels right before you unlock unlimited.
What is For You? +
A set of ten names picked from the ones you've already loved, and each one tells you why it's there, for example “Because you loved Leo”. After a few loves in the deck your first set is ready, free. With Unlimited, a fresh set arrives every morning.
Can we add a name that isn't in the app? +
Yes. Type it in the Add tab. If it's in our catalogue you get the full card; if not, your partner still sees it. Added names show up early in your partner's deck, and they can't see who added them. The free version covers three a day; Unlimited has no limit.
What happens after we both like a name? +
It becomes a match, quietly. Once you've collected a handful, you can run the final round: rate your favourites privately 1 to 5, then your rankings reveal side by side. The names you both rated 5 rise to the top, so you actually pick one.
What if we never match on anything? +
Rarer than you'd fear. Every swipe teaches the deck where your tastes overlap, and that overlap is usually bigger than either of you expects. If the shortlist stays thin, a super like nudges a name you love into your partner's deck. And with more than 15,000 names, there's plenty left to discover.
Where do your names come from? +
A curated database of 15,000+ enriched names from cultures around the world, with meaning, cultural roots, pronunciation, nicknames, and popularity trends. Manually verified. We flag anything uncertain.
Is my data actually private? +
